ABOUT US

A church family has to be experienced to be known. We want you to experience us, to know us - and we want to know you. By way of introduction, here are some things you might like to know about us:

We are Deeply Rooted in the Community

In our congregation, we have new residents and three-generation families. We have local businesspeople, local teachers, and families connected to CV and La Canada schools. We have JPL scientists, professional musicians, teachers, doctors, lawyers, artists, and some gratefully retired folks. Most of us exercise at the local YMCA at some point during the day. As a congregation we laugh easily and we share deeply.

We are a Place of Sanctuary and Rest

We are a place of renewal and hope and prophetic action. We are a family of people who humbly seek to be closer to God. When you come to worship with us, you will experience no claims of perfection and no gatekeepers of God's grace. Each one of us makes our mistakes and asks God's forgiveness. We seek to know God's love in our lives and to have that love overflow us and spill out into the streets of Montrose, La Crescenta, and beyond, where there is a world of hurt and emptiness waiting to be filled.

We welcome you with Open Doors, Open Hearts, and Open Minds.

We are Green

All of our light bulbs have been replaced with energy efficient bulbs that won us a serious rebate from the City of Glendale. We recycle. J's Maintenance uses green cleaning products on our property. We email all of our church newsletters, and the others are printed on 100% recycled paper. We're reduced our use of paper products in kitchen, and we have replaced many of our toilets with water-efficient models.

We are a Sanctuary of Safety

We have policies and procedures in place to make church a safe and secure place for your children.
